  • Allowing members to share their stories and exchange support and understanding in a safe, validating and non-judgmental environment from others who have experienced a similar loss.

  • Providing information around related psychological, emotional, cognitive, physical and interpersonal factors and other unique changes associated with grief and loss.

  • Giving participants the opportunity to express their thoughts, feelings and other reactions; identify and express related challenges and needs; and to obtain feedback from others as they come to grips with the transformed reality in which they find themselves.

  • Identifying and developing coping skills to help members manage the most difficult times of their grief journey
