As the founder of Savera Psychological Services PC, I extend you my warm welcome!

My passion to learn about human dynamics in different contexts drove me obtain a unique background with a Dual Ph.D. in Clinical and Industrial/Organizational Psychology. As a trained psychologist and consultant, I have had some exciting opportunities to provide psychological interventions, coaching, and consultation services to individuals, teams, and organizations.

My experience as a clinical psychologist has allowed me to work in psychiatric hospital, outpatient drug/alcohol rehabilitation program, community mental health clinic, and private practice settings. With extensive training and experience in assessments, I have conducted psychological and neuropsychological evaluations for children and adults with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, traumatic brain injury, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease. I have also had the opportunity to provide psychotherapy to children and adults with mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, personality disorders, substance use disorders, relationship difficulties, and work/life transitions.

Simultaneously, I have enjoyed working in small, mid-size, and large organizational initiatives geared toward leadership effectiveness, change management, diversity/inclusion, selection and retention, and team efficiency. I have served clients in technology, healthcare, government, biotechnology, education, and telecommunications. Often in my coaching partnerships, I find that my clinical experience serves as an asset in helping high-performers and leaders understand and navigate through their personal blind spots.

Currently, I serve as adjunct staff and an executive coach for the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), providing individual coaching and assessment feedback to middle and senior-level managers of Fortune 500 companies.

I also serve as a vendor for California Regional centers where I conduct psychological evaluations to assess individuals for autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, and other developmental disabilities.

My doctoral dissertation consisted of a dataset of 2,200 managers and senior executives to explore the relationships between narcissism, perceived leadership effectiveness, and career derailment. The premise of the study highlighted that there is a healthy level of narcissism that drives people toward success and creates positive perceptions by stakeholders. However, there is a tipping point at which one’s high level of narcissism can not only lead to negative perceptions by stakeholders, but can also have detrimental outcomes for the organization, teams, and the individual themself. This study affirms that one’s strengths when overplayed can become a weakness.
