Day/time: 9 consecutive Wednesdays from 5:30-7pm.

Format: Closed group (new participants won't be able to enroll once the group begins)

Size: 8-10 adults

Virtual platform: Zoom for Healthcare

Fee: We accept Aetna, Optum/UHC, Anthem BC, and Blue Shield of CA

Out-of-network fee is $50 per session

Overview

Each session will begin with a (10 minute) guided mindfulness practice, a brief check-in question relevant to the focus of the session and will then move to an in-depth discussion of an aspect of trauma recovery and related skills instruction. Handouts may include either summaries of topics discussed, or skills worksheets, and participants may be invited to individually complete worksheets during session to support both connection with the material and an opportunity to ask questions.

Because learning is most accessible when we are within our “window of tolerance” (i.e., neither over nor under stimulated) one of the group norms that you will be asked to agree to is that you not share personal details of your trauma experience(s) so as not to inadvertently overwhelm either yourself or others in the group. Discussion and participation will be welcome and encouraged about the material that we are covering, but we invite you to explore thoughts and feelings about your trauma history that may come up for you during class with your individual therapist.

  2. Support to stop reliving the trauma
