THE CULTURE AT SAVERA
We strongly believe that in order to offer the best care to our clients, we as clinicians must embody our own wellness, curiosity to learn, flexibility, and a supportive environment. Our team consists of a close-knit group of professionals that support one another through professional challenges. We rely on our individual and group consultations to not only discuss challenges and explore blindspots, but also to give each other kudos and celebrate wins! We also like having fun, and even in the bleak times during the pandemic we managed to put together a Zoom gathering with a surprise musician and a virtual scavenger hunt! :)
To prevent burnout and maintain balance, our team members are able to create their own schedule, and qualify for health care benefits for seeing 23 or more clients per week (i.e. it’s possible to have a 4-day work week with 5-6 clients per day). Our therapists also receive a monthly wellness stipend that they can allocate to a variety of self-care activities such as therapy, massage, gym membership etc.
We also offer opportunities for professional growth through in-house trainings that focus on interesting and relevant topics. Most recently, we enjoyed presentations on working with gender and neurodiverse clients; and conducting intended parent consultations for clients pursuing assisted reproduction. To help with professional development, we also offer our clinicians a continuing education (CE) stipend.
Most common referrals at our practice include children, adolescents, and adults who are seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, life transitions, burnout, mood disturbance, relationship difficulties, grief/loss, work-related stress, and strategies to manage cognitive, social, emotional impacts of ADHD. Our practice also partners with fertility clinics by providing support to intended parents seeking assisted reproduction, as well as egg/sperm donor evaluations.
Our main office is located at the beautiful Lake Merritt area in Oakland, CA. We will soon be opening an office in San Diego, CA. Telehealth services are offered all over California.
