Grief is a deeply personal process with life-altering effects, and when shared has the power to inspire and bring comfort to others.

The group is offered for adults who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
Over the course of 8 weeks, the group will be designed to help members better understand and navigate the grief process by:
-
Allowing members to share their stories and exchange support and understanding in a safe, validating and non-judgmental environment from others who have experienced a similar loss.
-
Providing information around related psychological, emotional, cognitive, physical and interpersonal factors and other unique changes associated with grief and loss.
-
Giving participants the opportunity to express their thoughts, feelings and other reactions; identify and express related challenges and needs; and to obtain feedback from others as they come to grips with the transformed reality in which they find themselves.
-
Identifying and developing coping skills to help members manage the most difficult times of their grief journey
-
Offer and connect members with grief-related resources to further support their process.
